Leadership East Bay cordially invites to you an Open House and Orientation Meeting as we kick off the Leadership East Bay Program for 2011 - 2012!
Please join the Leadership East Bay Steering Committee and Leadership East Bay alumni for a complimentary evening of appetizers, wine and dessert.
Jack Papazian, the Leadership East Bay Coordinator will be on hand to describe the Program and answer your questions, and Program alumni will also be there to describe their Leadership East Bay experience and how Leadership provides business, government, civic and community leadership contacts while helping to develop the next generation of business and civic community leaders.
This session is free and open to all and is for informational purposes only. Attendance does not obligate joining the Leadership Program.

Leadership East Bay, WHY YOU?
The leadership program is based on the belief that any city's most valuable resource is its people. The program empowers a diversity of individuals with knowledge, skills and inspiration. The program educates them with vital community information that reinforces their leadership qualities and ownership in the community. Download the Leadership East Bay Application here.
A class is made up of people who either work or live in Berkeley and Emeryville. They will meet one day a month, from October – May. Suggested topics for each month include; Cultural Heritage & Demographics, Environment, Land Use and Transportation, Media and Communication, Criminal Justice, Education, Health & Human Services, Government, and Economic Development.
The class will also visit different locations each month and subject experts will speak on concerns and strategies. The program provides information on community resources, identification of community concerns and interaction with city leaders. In addition, participants will be able to develop their leadership skills from instruction on leadership styles and approaches.
